The 40th Max Born Symposium is organized by the Institute of Theoretical Physics and the Polish Academy of Sciences, Wrocław Branch at the University of Wrocław, Poland, October 9th – 12th, 2019. |
The focus of this workshop is to address questions related with the phase structure of hot and dense QCD matter and phenomenological consequences. Special emphasise will be devoted to deconfinement and chiral symmetry restoration, in particular also in the context of the conjectured quarkyonic matter hypothesis. It will be discussed to which extent theory, heavy-ion collision experiments as well as observations and simulations of astrophysical systems such as pulsars, core collapse supernovae and neutron star merger events can provide to its clarification. |
Subjects:
- Hot and dense QCD matter – phase diagram, non-equilibrium phenomena and equation of state
- Hadron and lepton pair production in heavy-ion collisions
- Compact UltraDense ObjectS (CUDOS)
